Tarrytown Neighborhood in Austin, Texas

Designed for established Tarrytown developer Lohr Homes as a speculative project, Greenlee house needed to be carefully situated around two protected oak trees in this historic Austin neighborhood.

The stone and stucco exterior features sloping roof lines, which harmonize with the established homes along this street. Wood soffits bridge to the interior as ceiling finishes, and bands of wood serve as accents punctuating the window placement.

The spacious two-story home is designed for a small family, and includes a covered back patio, open kitchen with a bar island and solid-surface countertops.

The upper story bedrooms and bathrooms frame views of the neighborhood through openings in the trees. A fully enclosed and tiled wet room with a combination shower and bath adorns the master bathroom with its floating wood vanity, vessel sinks, and clerestory fenestration.
